MINUTIA AND MASS
Tyler is an artist and designer represented by CityArt Gallery and ArtSpan in San Francisco Bay. His detailed and abstract circle drawings have been featured on gallery walls and coffee cups. Meditative. Organic. Minimal. The work is a collection of investigations on organization and scale using hand-penned lines on paper. The circles en masse form shapes and texture at the individual and macro levels. No other shapes are used, but as a collection the tiny circles start to mimic observable phenomena in the natural world. The circles start to mimic the organization of cells, or sediment, or stars, or molecules. They are zoomed in pictures of clouds, skin, bacteria. They are studies in contrast and balance at several scales. Each circle exists as an individual subject and as a texture, and as a macro subject.

These pieces are a meditation on matter and collection, texture and time. Diversity and homogeneity. Scale and simplicity.
